Job Summary/Basic Function

The Associate Athletic Director for Development will work directly with the Deputy Athletic Director in all aspects of the Athletic Fund Raising program for the University's 17 NCAA Division I sports. Essential tasks include but are not limited to: daily oversight of the BRAA Staff and the day to day operations of the BRAA office to include leading all BRAA Staff meetings, serving as the Chief Development Officer for Athletics, manage BRAA Board relations, track BRAA staff metrics, oversight of the BRAA operating budget, develop, organize and implement the comprehensive annual giving strategy and membership campaign as approved by AD and Deputy AD for the Blue Raider Athletic Association (BRAA); oversight of yearly recruitment of new donors and campaign volunteers; retaining current members, approve and oversee development of renewal letters, invoices, donor/prospect visits, fulfillment of donor benefits, and all written correspondence. The Associate Athletic Director of Development will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approx. 100 major gift donors and premium seating prospects, additionally will have 10 to 15 qualified face to face visits per month with BRAA prospects and current donors. The position will oversee development and composition and distribution of monthly newsletters and weekly email blasts for the membership; assist the Deputy AD and BRAA staff with the management of premium seating, stadium club functions, open air suites, and other game day responsibilities as required; help maintain the membership donor database and track revenue and memberships from donors. The position will also work in conjunction with the Ticket Office to develop and implement a ticket priority system to recognize and reward donor loyalty with preferred seating opportunities; establish a prospect list for out of office cultivation and solicitations; cultivate prospects for BRAA in the Murfreesboro, Nashville, Williamson County, and surrounding areas. Oversight of the BRAA staff which includes Coordinators for Development who will ensure maintenance of BRAA membership roster and premium seating and special donor events. Additionally the position will assist the Deputy AD with overall marketing of the athletic department and BRAA in the mid-state area. They will also provide stewardship and communicate with donors and assist in hospitality of donors and prospective donors throughout the year. There will be occasional extended work hours to include evening and weekend events i.e., ball games, donor trips during football season, Club and suite oversight during football season, BRAA Donor Dinners during basketball season, BRAA hospitality halftime events during basketball season, execute BRAA Board meetings and fund raising events, etc. and perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned by the Deputy AD and Director of Athletics.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree required. Masters Preferred

Required Related Experience

Three (3) years of experience in the field of collegiate fundraising or related annual membership drive recruitment experience required.

A Master's degree and one year of NCAA collegiate fundraising may be considered in lieu of the three years of experience.

Desirable Related Experience

Five (5) years experience in field of NCAA collegiate fund raising experience or revenue generation. Master's degree preferred.
