Job Summary/Basic Function
Perform the duties and assignments associated with the procurement of products and services for the University as administered by the Executive Director of Procurement Logistic Services. Essential tasks include: evaluate online procurement requisitions and place orders and/or issue bids according to the purchasing policies stipulated by the University, and state legislation. Assist and act a backup to the Senior Specialist on new multi-year Beverage contract (Coke or Pepsi). Assist and act as backup to the Senior Specialist on Purchase Card administration, training, and issuance. Perform other related projects, tasks, or duties as assigned.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree required. Note: High School Diploma and six (6) years directly related procurement experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree.
Required Related Experience
Two (2) years experience as a buyer in procurement required.
Desirable Related Experience
Three (3) years procurement experience as a buyer in higher education or government preferred.
Desirable License/Registration/Certification
CPM/CPPB/CPPO preferred
