Job Summary/Basic Function

This position will coordinate financial administration, manage stakeholder partnerships, coordinate marketing efforts, as well as supervise and manage various projects and TSEC part time and student personnel. Under the supervision of the Director of TSEC, the Coordinator will prepare and execute budgets related to funded projects; develop stakeholder partnerships and develop priorities for interactions with these stakeholders; coordinate TSEC marketing and promotion activities; design, develop and lead logistics related to funded projects; and supervise and manage personnel.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree

Required Related Experience

Three years of progressively responsible experience in higher education, non-profit, or government. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills to reach target audiences and key stakeholders, working closely with academic departments, facilitating large-scale events; Managing multiple staff and students as well secretarial, clerical or administrative experience to include, experience in grant administration, budgets, and accounting/bookkeeping.

Desirable Related Experience

Prior experience in a university setting preferred. Prior experience with event coordination preferred. Successful interaction with students, faculty, administrators and staff preferred. Experience with state and federal grant policies and procedures. Knowledge, experience, and/or interest in STEM education for a K-14 audience.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

Valid and current driver's license. Microsoft Office Specialist. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Proficiency in MTSU administrative software suite (Pipeline, MTSource, Banner, Argos, etc)
