Job Summary/Basic Function
The executive assistant supports the College of Graduate Studies in its strategic goals to increase recruitment, retention and graduation of MTSU graduate students. Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, as requested by the Associate Dean. Maintain files for responses to ensure deadlines are met; prepare paperwork submitted to the Associate Dean for information and/or signature; develop agendas; send invitations; coordinate RSVPs; take notes/minutes; assist with applicant/student processing; and perform other related tasks and special projects as assigned.
Required Education
High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
Required Related Experience
Three years of progressively responsible secretarial/administrative experience required.
Desirable Related Experience
Prior experience using Banner or similar automated student information systems preferred. Prior experience in a higher education environment preferred.
