Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Aerospace at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) Pro Pilot faculty position (#117010) at the rank of Lecturer. This is a one-year temporary appointment with a possible annual renewal for up to three years total. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2022. The position is contingent upon funding.
Required Education
Master’s degree in Aerospace, Aviation, or closely related field by appointment date
Required Related Experience
One year of aerospace or aviation industry or collegiate aviation teaching experience is required.
Other Desirables
Those with either of the following will receive special consideration:
1) FAA Commercial - Multi-Engine, and valid Flight Instructor Certificates (CFI, CFII, MEI)
OR
2) FAA ATP with 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience
