Job Description

Supervise, plan and direct assigned custodial staff and the custodial lead worker regarding routine assignments and project work based on established Cleaning Standards and Frequencies. Assist to train new staff and conduct site inspections for building cleanliness based on these defined standards. Purchase and distribute supplies and cleaning equipment needed for job tasks including responsibility to monitor the inventory and use of supplies. Perform minor repairs and maintain and monitor inventory of custodial equipment such as the vacuums and buffers used by all custodial staff. Responsible for the installation, repair and/or replacement of all toilet paper dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and soap dispensers in all academic and administrative buildings on campus. As required, communicate with faculty and staff regarding event cleaning, project cleaning, special work requests and/or custodial cleaning issues. May be required to perform general cleaning tasks during high absence situations and perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned.

Required Educational Qualifications and Field of Study

High School diploma or High School Equivalency required.

Required Year(s) and Type of Work Experience

Three (3) years progressively responsible experience directly related to commercial/institutional custodial experience required, to include one year of the total three years in a supervisory capacity.

Salary Range $29,399 - $35,279; commensurate with experience
