The Assistant Athletic Trainer has primary responsibility to assist with the overall medical and health related care of student athletes participating in NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic teams within the University. Essential duties include but are not be limited to: assist in prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, physician referral, and medical documentation of all injuries associated with assigned student athletes; communication with coaches, student athletes, parents, staff and physicians within NATA and HIPAA guidelines; maintain and observe all athletic policy and procedures in accordance with NATA regulations and remain certified to perform these duties on a daily basis. Provide supervision of daily practice and game coverage, in season travel, and summer sports workout coverage for assigned sports as permitted by NCAA legislation and required to be flexible and adapt to schedule changes. Required to adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations of the NATA, NCAA, Conference USA, and MTSU Athletic Department. Serve as an approved clinical instructor (ACI) within the CAATE accredited graduate athletic training curriculum program; and assist Associate Trainers in the supervision of certified graduate assistant athletic trainers, interns and our sports medicine athletic training students in the Sports Medicine educational program;instruct these students in professional prevention, care and rehabilitation of assigned athletes. Expected to attend national NATA and Conference USA meetings and/or conventions to remain current of their field for changes that occur. Required to comply with NCAA legislation and immediately report any known violations of NCAA rules to the Compliance Office and submit all required documentation to the Compliance office in a timely fashion; and perform other related tasks or projects as assigned. |

Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Development, the primary function of this role is to secure funds for MTSU Athletics by fulfilling the interests and passions of donors to the Blue Raider Athletic Association (BRAA). The ideal candidate will accomplish this by providing prospective donors with giving opportunities and encouraging them to give, resulting in major philanthropic gifts ($25,000 and above) and significant annual fund gifts.
Will also be responsible for tracking the team's major gift fundraising activities, such as monthly and quarterly solicitations, visits, and portfolio reviews.
This position reports to the BRAA’s Chief Development Officer. It works closely with the MTSU Foundation staff and athletics leadership to execute fundraising initiatives to raise private donor support for the Build Blue campaign and MTSU Athletics. |

The Emergency Communications Specialist (ECS) is the first link in the emergency response chain. These employees prioritize calls and direct emergency resources to assist citizens in need. The ECS acts as an information resource for officers in the field. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to understand and relay information effectively, and the ability to communicate clearly in stressful situations. The ECS interacts with the public on a constant basis, either in person or by phone, and must maintain a professional demeanor and attitude in all interactions. ECS personnel must quickly determine the necessary resources and provide information to responding emergency personnel (police/fire/EMS) to ensure an appropriate and timely response.
University Police is a full-service police department serving the Middle Tennessee State University community. University Police operates 24 hours a day. As a critical part of the University Police team, the Communications Section is staffed around the clock. As essential employees, ECS staffing of the Communication Center is required 24 hours a day. This staffing requirement necessarily results in shift work and requires coverage for weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather. |
