Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of Health and Human Performance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position (#130010) in our progressive Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology program at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The start date for the position is August 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver undergraduate courses in anatomy and physiology, adult language and neurogenic communication disorders, and other related subjects.
- Supervision: Oversee honors research projects and guide undergraduate student clinicians.
- Advising: Provide academic and career advice to students.
- Service: Engage in public and university service activities.
- Grant Writing: Secure funding by creating and submitting grant proposals.
- Research: Conduct and publish innovative research in the field.

Required Education
A terminal degree in speech-language pathology or a closely related field is required by the appointment date.
Required License/Registration/Certification
A Certificate of Clinical Competence/SLP, and a Tennessee State License are required by the appointment date.
Other Desirables
Those with an expertise in anatomy and physiology, adult language and neurogenic communication disorders, and dysphagia will receive special consideration.
