Job Summary/Basic Function
Supervise, plan and direct lead workers and custodians regarding routine daily assignments and special project work based on Cleaning Standards and Frequencies, and related tasks; provide on site inspections for proper level and thoroughness of cleaning based on Cleaning Standards; purchase and distribute supplies and cleaning equipment needed for job tasks; responsible to monitor the inventory and use of supplies. Perform minor repairs and maintain and monitor inventory of custodial equipment such as vacuums, shop vacs, and fans or blowers used by all custodial staff. Responsible for the installation, repair and/or replacement of all toilet paper, paper towel, and soap dispensers in all academic and administrative buildings on campus and off campus facilities. Communicate with faculty and staff regarding special event cleaning, custodial cleaning issues or special work requests; maintain required reports and perform other related special projects as assigned. Complete work orders for minor pest control issues on campus. May be required to perform general cleaning tasks during high absence situations and perform other related tasks or special projects as assigned.
Required Education
High School diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) required.
Required Related Experience
Three (3) years directly related commercial/institutional custodial experience required to include one year of total three years in a supervisory capacity.
Desirable Related Experience
Previous commercial/custodial supervisory experience.
