Job Summary/Basic Function

Reporting to the Executive Director of WMOT and the Editorial Director, the Content Producer will create video, digital, mobile and social media content for WMOT.org and other WMOT platforms including NPR Live Sessions, work with WMOT staff on live video and radio productions. The Content Producer will also manage all video production, live and recorded, hire freelance videographers, editors, camera operations and other crew.

The Content Producer will be responsible for editing, posting and archiving video and digital content for WMOT, will be part of the team that manages and posts to WMOT.org and perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelors degree in Mass Communications, journalism, multimedia, broadcast, audio production, video production or a related area.

Required Related Experience

Two (2) years directly related experience with broadcast, video production or multimedia. Experience includes: producing live and recorded video sessions, producing a variety of digital content for multiple platforms including web, social media, video, television or radio; proficient with video production equipment and studio systems; producing digital media content; experience using digital media tools.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Valid driver's license required.

Desirable Related Experience

Prior public media experience or non-commercial radio experience preferred. Prior experience producing film, television, single and multi-cam video, video editing and directing live video broadcasts preferred.
