Job Summary/Basic Function
Oversees the day-to-day operations of a federally-licensed, university-operated radio station and its various sub-units. Oversees, coordinates and administers a range of operational and administrative activities in direct support of the delivery of 24-hour radio programming by the station. Participates in the development and administration of strategic and operating plans and evaluates programs for compliance with the overall mission of the station. Supervises all engineering maintenance, upgrades and projects. Trains WMOT employees and students to operate station systems and equipment.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Broadcasting or a closely related field required.
Required Related Experience
Five (5) years of successful full time employment in a responsible broadcast position preferably including some programming responsibilities. Operations, programming and on-air and experience in a competitive radio market. Non-commercial experience preferred.
