Job Summary/Basic Function
Provide support for the Office of Research and Sponsored programs director and staff. Tasks include the administration of internal faculty and student grants such as application processes, hiring, purchasing, and travel. The coordinator will also be responsible for planning events, workshops, meetings, and trainings; maintaining the ORSP website, and serving as a central contact for communications, planning, and administration of internal operations and client support. Ongoing or reoccurring programs include events and activities related to the Undergraduate Research Experience and Creative Activity (URECA) program, the MT-Internal Grant Opportunities (MT-IGO) program, Scholars Week, Grant Writing Enhancement Program, Vice Provost for Research Advisory Board and University Research Council. Other duties as assigned.
Required Related Experience
At least two years of relevant experience in secretarial, clerical, project coordination, customer service, and/or other related fields.
Note: a high school diploma/high school equivalency and six years of progressively responsible experience as outlined above may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Desirable Related Experience
Experience working in a higher education setting; Project coordination experience in a higher education and/or research setting.
