Job Summary/Basic Function

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director Procurement Logistic Services, develop, negotiate, and maintain contracts for products and services; perform duties and assignments associated with the eProcurement process; evaluate procurement requests for supplies, materials and equipment used by MTSU; maintain standards of specifications, adherence to university, TBR and state legislation policies and procedures, compile statistical reports and perform tasks associated with PCard administration, perform other related projects, tasks, or duties as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree required.

Required Related Experience

Two years progressively responsible purchasing/buyer experience required. Note: A High School diploma or high school equivalency and six years directly related purchasing/buyer experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

Desirable Related Experience

Bachelor's degree and five years progressively responsible purchasing/buyer experience preferred.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

CPM, APP
