Job Summary/Basic Function

Assist with the existing and growing administrative endeavors of True Blue TV Event Productions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing all day to day technical operations for events, which includes deployment of various systems, (audio, video, lighting, and staging). Under the direction of the Director of True Blue TV Event Productions, the Assistant director assumes primary responsibility for fulfillment of the MTSU Athletics Memorandum of Understanding. This includes being on site, with appropriate staff, and prepared to deliver contracted services at each sporting event denoted within the agreement. The Assistant Director will also assume some of the responsibilities of the expansion of the True Blue TV network into Nashville and other markets. The Assistant Director manages warehouse operations, equipment repair, jobsite supervision and production set-ups and load-outs. Recruits, trains, schedules, and supervises student employees. Manages the daily operation of equipment storage facilities and organized workspace so that equipment may be inventoried, repaired, pulled according to event manifests, and prepared for distribution to events. Oversees the use and maintenance of vehicles under True Blue TV Event Productions’ purview. The Assistant Director must have a flexible work schedule, as he/she is expected to work frequent nights and weekends.

Required Education

Bachelor of Science degree in an entertainment technology or entertainment business related field.

Required Related Experience

One year in an entertainment production related field.

Desirable Related Experience

Prefer candidate to have two years in an entertainment production related field. Experience working with college-aged students and/or in a university setting.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

CDL
