Job Summary/Basic Function
The Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#122050) at the rank of Lecturer in Japanese. This is a one year appointment with possible annual renewal for up to three years total. Start date for the position is August 1, 2021. Position contingent upon funding.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching elementary or intermediate level courses each semester with the possibility of advanced level courses.
Required Education
Master's degree in Japanese, Language Acquisition, or Education by appointment date
Required Related Experience
1. Minimum of two years teaching experience at the university level
2. ACTFL Advanced High Level speaking and writing skills in Japanese
